How Drones Are Used
UAVs are used for many different things. The two main uses are a way of gathering information, and useing it as a tactical weapon. Both have very high tech cameras on them. UAVs that are used for gathering information have cameras that take pictures of things like enemy camp locations, enemy patrols, and sometimes just the lanscape. Usually smaller drones are used for surveilence. When they are used for weapons the drone is armed with missiles. The most common missile used on a Predator Drone are AGM-114 Hellfire missiles. Other weapons on other drones include the AIM-9 Sidewinder (a heat seeking short ranged missle), the GBU-Paveway II (a laser guided bomb) and other missles.
