Drone Zone

There are many different types of drones. The most well known drone is the MQ-1 Predator, which is a larger drone armed with Hellfire missles. The MQ-1C Grey eagle is a drone developed from the Predator and is basically the same. The MQ-9 Reaper is also a common drone, armed with missles. Other large drones include the RQ-4 Global Hawk, the RQ-170 Sentinal and the RQ-5 Hunter. There are many medium sized drones also. The most common medeum sized drone would be the Boeing ScanEagle, a drone made for survalance, as most small/medium sized UAVs are. Another common medium sized drone is the RQ-7 Shadow, which is developed from the RQ-2 Pioneer. Both are drones used for gathering information form high powered cameras. The Gnat 750 is a medium sized drone that made its first flight in 1989. Smaller drones are used by soldiers who want to see the area around them, over a mountain, or something of that nature. The most common small drone would be the RQ-11 Raven. The Raven, like other small drones, are thrown to get them flying. From there they are controlled remotely. The RQ-14 Dragon Eye and the Wasp III are two other common small drones.
